How you benefit from the Competitive Link Velocity (CLV) tool
Competitive Link Velocity (CLV) allows you to see your website's link growth compared to your competitors' link growth.
Link speed is different for every niche, and it is important to understand what is acceptable in the eyes of Google.
CLV allows you to compare your domain with up to 10 competitors. You can use the Find Competitor Pages feature or paste URLs from a list. Then decide whether you want to see link speed trends for the last 30 days or the last 24 months.
Features of the Competitive Link Velocity Tool (CLV)
Easy spotting of spikes and trends in your niche
The factor of link building and link growth speed is simply ignored in many SEO campaigns and link projects, which can lead to unpleasant surprises. The Competitive Link Velocity Tool (CLV) generates a single heat map over a two-year period.
You'll get a new point of view on your bonding process. The heat map in the Competitive Link Velocity (CLV) tool gives you changes in Link Popularity, Domain Popularity, as well as detailed changes in texts, images, Do Not Follow and redirect links at a glance.
This heat map allows you to quickly compare historical changes in link profiles. This means that you can assess how many links of any kind have been placed or removed.
Spikes happen naturally in certain cases, for example when you have special offers, contests or big media events.
Unnatural spikes can be caused by using a poor backlink building service or negative SEO attacks. As with most tools, this report can be set to automatically re-run on a weekly or monthly basis.
If you're in a niche that has big fluctuations in traffic or is very aggressive, CLV is an SEO tool that could save you a lot of headaches. Having weekly CLV reports by email can be a very good idea.
If you notice drastic changes in the number of image links, that may indicate a successful banner campaign. A sudden increase in No Follow links could indicate a lot of interest in forums or blogs, or even a link spam campaign. Many redirects could indicate advanced SEO tactics or, again, a lot of activity in the social sector through URL shorteners.
Easy retrieval of historical data
If you hover your cursor anywhere on the heatmap, a popup will give you detailed information about that period, for that domain.
In the example above we can see that in May 2015 iphonefixed.co.uk had a total of 45,414 linked pages. On these pages, 45,408 text links, 20 image links and 44,534 No Follow links were created. In this month, 6,714 links were removed and no redirects were created. The site-wide ratio is the number of backlinks to the domain (BLdom) versus the number of linking domains.

What convinces us most about LRT is the diversity of functions
The most compelling thing about LRT for us are two central points: firstly, the variety of features that the platform offers, because from the tool for link detoxification to the tools to identify new or unused link sources, everything is there. . Thanks to these features, we have already got rid of manual penalties twice in a very short time. Second, you get an incredible amount of knowledge from the platform and the community that has grown around it on how to use the tools and implement the measures correctly, which really excites us. We have managed to steal link juice from our competitors several times with LRT, in the sense that we have managed to link from their linked websites. In addition, LRT's competitive analysis also allows us to identify the strengths of our competitors' link profiles and successfully replicate their best strategies.
